Tail not visible due to it being behind the comet.

Resolved Nebula Cloud. Cloud appeared to have a blueish hue. Ended early due to cloud cover.
On the UT Painter Hall 9" Refractor cloud can not be seen due to stadium and tower light pollution.

Painter Hall Refractor Telescope night starts at 10:00pm on January 20th, 2008. NOAA predicts a clear evening with a low temperature of 26 degrees.

The next evening of observation will be January 30th, 2008 starting at 10:00pm.

Sirius is a bright blue star and was located in the East-South Eastern part of the sky under Orion.

Resolved nebula cloud sharply. Cloud edges and structure visible even with bright moon light near by. 4 stars are grouped closely in the densest part of the nebula cloud.

Rings resolve sharply in the contrast even with an abundance of moon light in the sky. Beautiful on the Painter Hall!!!

Two moons possibly visible on either side of the planet. Planet appears to be yellow in color. Rings are on a perpendicular plane to us.
